This list isn't perfect and I'm not sure what exactly they consider to be a "neighborhood," but unfortunately Cleveland neighborhoods make two appearances.

2. Cleveland, Ohio
Neighborhood: Scovill Ave.
Found within ZIP code: 44104
Predicted annual violent crimes: 307
Violent crime rate (per 1,000): 165.56
My chances of becoming a victim here (in one year): 1 in 6

20. Cleveland, Ohio
Neighborhood: Chestnut Pl.
Found within ZIP code: 44104, 44115
Predicted annual violent crimes: 156
Violent crime rate (per 1,000): 90.38
My chances of becoming a victim here (in one year): 1 in 11

25 most dangerous neighborhoods 2010

Central has been known to be one of the most dangerous areas of the city, so this isn't all that surprising. When I heard that two Cleveland neighborhoods made the list, I definitely didn't think they'd be close together though.

They are right next to each other, couldn't they have been put into one? Those two neighborhoods don't seem to be as big as other neighborhoods on the list.

Not really surprised. On last years list Cleveland had one neighborhood on here in 20th place, it was the the area just north of the #2 on this years list.

Both of the those areas are 90% projects as well. #2 is King-Kennedy/Phoenix Village, and #20 is Carver Park. Dangerous neighborhoods? yes, but there's other areas of Cleveland that I think are worse. Also interesting to see how OTR in Cincinnati went from 1st place last year to in the 20s this year. Makes you think how credible these lists really are.

Yeah, that's what confused me too.

I'm kind of surprised no areas in East Cleveland made the list. Or even the Lee/Miles area.

The funny part? Google 'street view' E 59th and E 61st street. Those are some of the nicest projects I've ever seen. The sad part is that they will be in ruins within a year or two.

We treat the lazy in this city so well, don't we?

What's the source for this information?

The line doesn't work. Also, what year is this from?
