Love the the cultural amenities and diversity, view of the lake, view of the skyline from Edgewater Park, RTA, metroparks, University Circle, seeing the Italian and Hispanic women that are hard to find down here in Cincy, the relatively liberal feel of the area, and the resemblence of New England on the east side.

Hate that the city feel sorely underpopulated (abandoned, boarded up buildings, houses, etc. No pedestrian or vehicular traffic, which makes the city feel somewhat dead). What white-flight has done to the city. The "can't do/defeatist" attitude. Oh, and the mess out there near the airport that gives travelers the impression that Cleveland is a dirty, industrial town.

Where is this mess around the airport?

You forgot to mention what black-flight has done to the city as well.

Probably the looming Ford Plant and its smokestacks...kind of like the ''Welcome to Cleveland'' poster. Haven't noticed, on my recent visits to Cleveland, if the smoke is still belching out as it used to.

I don't see how that is bad compared to New York, Northern New Jersey, or Philadelphia by their airports.

I didn't bring it up; just defined what the poster mentioned and you questioned.

The negatives apply to Cincy as well...major white-flight and abandonment. I know Cincy's airport is over in Kentucky and I recall it as not being heavy industry.

Cincy's abandonment, like Pittsburgh's, is well hidden because of how it is built and within the topography.

Never said you did. I made it a point to say that New York and other places have the same thing.
