Have to ask this question because I'm dealing with a user on here who is insistent that Cleveland is more like Boston, despite having a lot more in common with the Midwest. Cleveland is demographically, linguistically, culturally, and historically much more like Chicago than Boston. So what's your pick?

Yes. I have said Cleveland is exactly like Boston and nothing like Chicago. You have Boston and Buffalo consfused, look them up, two different cities. You're really desperate at this point. How's work treatin ya today? Ha!

What is the end result of comparing city x to city y? Validating your opinion on a useless subject?

I'm sick of all these threads "Cleveland becoming Chicagoish?" "Cleveland more like Boston or Chicago?" and then all the ones comparing Cleveland to Columbus and Cincinnati. What a pointless discussion this thread is bound to be. Congrats.

It seems like we talk more about Chicago and Columbus than Cleveland on this board. I hope this thread doesn't last.

I swear we just had this discussion. The consensus was that Milwaukee and Buffalo were the US cities most similar to Cleveland.

Where's Ohiogirl when we need her? I'm on my way back to Youngstown right now from Erie, she can relate to our region pretty well. NE Ohio, Western PA, and Western New York. I will have to go through border patrol entering Ohio because there's a huge dividing wall between the states keeping us from being similar culturally and linguistically. I love when outsiders tell us how our culture and way of speech must be.

Cleveland is an original city. It's not like anything. It's only Cleveland.
