bounded by metro to the south, 71 to the east, w 25th to the west and clark to the north???

what can you guys tell me about this area in general?

Really rough, hardscrabble area, has been for a long time. Large Appalachian population at one time if I'm not mistaken, there might still be. I think part of this area is officially "Tremont" on neighborhood maps, but the Tremont on the other side of 71/490 is nothing like this anymore.
