My boyfriend and I are renovating a home to sell it. Currently the washer and dryer are in the bathroom. Personally I don't like that. I want to put it on the back porch(that is closed in) he wants to leave it in the bathroom. Can somebody give me some advise?
Thank you Kal621

If there is a way to run plumbing, and that the porch is heated so the pipes don't freeze, do it. Insulate the wall to kill off the noise when they run. There will be a void where the washer dryer was, with hookups, so you can set up the drain for a separate shower or jacuzzi that you can find as a scratch and dent special to install in place of the washer dryer. Or take that space and set it up as a linen closet.

Have you looked into housing codes? I know in some areas you are limited to where you can add hook-ups for a washer and dryer, and your porch might not meet the requirements.

Otherwise, if the porch is comfortable (insulated, livable, etc) I think that it would be a benefit to free up bathroom space.
