A thread celebrating those moments of memory in Cleveland.

Much more tame than the infamous beer night remembered by the old-timers. Back then, "Cleveland tough" was more than a slogan. When else in MLB history did the fans steal all three bases DURING the game?

Dan Coughlin recalls the Indians' famous Ten-Cent Beer Night | cleveland.com

Mike Golic tells the story best. Was this story told in ESPN's "Believeland?" Things mentioned in passing -- glass bottles were still sold in stadiums, and Pete Franklin was the original sports talk jock, not afraid to work up the Indians faithful so much that they showed up with cherry bombs to deliver retribution on the Texas Rangers.
