I was called for jury duty twice. The first time I was not selected and it was boring but then got talking to people & it was OK.

The second time was awful. Never thought I would be picked but I was. It was a wrongful death case & I never want to go through something like that again. Deciding how much the children should get from the insurance company, so many different views. Some of the other juror's comments/decisions sickened me. They couldn't look beyond today. Only 2 of us recognized future costs & we fought for 2 long days but the others wouldn't budge & we finally agreed to the lower payment.

Hopefully the lawyers appealed.

It was the most boring day of my life. It took FOREVER for anyone to do anything. They move slow. They start late and finish early. They chat with each other a lot. God forbid anyone ask them a question. If they deign to speak to you, they're rude about it. Finally I got excused.

The second most boring day of my life was spent in an airport.
