Great news. I don't like discount carriers, generally, for their nickel & dime add-on charges (checked and carry-on bags, seats, etc), but having a Frontier hub plus the added routes and times into Hopkins is a major plus for Cleveland.

Frontier is a great add as a local hub. Always good to have more options.

Not sure why the potshots on CLE. I mean, do comparison metros like Pittsburgh or Columbus even have any airline hubs, budget or otherwise? Serious question…I’m not aware of any.

What's a fact? That Cleveland is a large/midsized market squeezed in between a number of nearby hubs, like Detroit, Chicago, and (formerly) Pittsburgh, and 'may' not get a larger airline in the near future. Or your pejorative statement that a City like Cleveland can't hope to get any better because, well, it's Cleveland... Sounds like a hater comment to me. It's all in how you say it.

I picked that up too.

As far as budget carriers go, I don't think Frontier is the worst. They have also added some international destinations.

I flew on Frontier right after the pandemic. We were anxious to travel someplace warm. As you might expect, there were many post-Pandemic regulations in effect - masks, no snacks or beverages. The crew was as friendly and apologetic as possible.

We would fly them again.

Frontier has gotten a lot better, esp on-time wise. They were terrible about 5 years ago when they dropped their Cleveland-Philly (area airport) runs. Now that they've instituted nonstop flights from Philly International to Hopkins, they are fine, with good special rates, too.

Right now Spirit is my whipping-boy airline. Spirit is the absolute dregs in terms of punctuality and customer service and comfort.
