There was recently a big article in the Cincy Enquirer about the possible pending merger of the Cincy and Dayton metro areas because they have just about grown into each other. If they are combined into a CSA, the population will be over 3 million. A drive on I-75 between Cincy and Dayton will make it obvious that they should be combined...what little farmland that remains is rapidly being bought for development.

^I saw that article I guess if Cin-Day meets the commuting patterns that will happen. I would assume also that Cleveland-Akron will be a metropolitan area (like it should be) not a combined statistical area. I also think Canton may be added to the metro area or Combined statistical area bringing the total to 3.3 mills. We'll see. I think the higher populations bring a larger portion of federal money to the metropolitan areas.

Yuck. More sprawling suburban ticky-tack. Yeah, I know that's considered "progress" but, I just find it rather sad.
