Our 29 y/o son will be with us the next two weeks. He grew up sailing on Lake Superior and would love a chance to sail while he is visiting us in Raleigh.

Any leads or suggestions on who to contact would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Default Deckhand for a day or two

In case I wasn't clear in my last post, he only wants to sail for a couple days. He is not seeking employment.

You might try the web site of the Carolina Sailing Club: Carolina Sailing Club - Central North Carolina Sailboat Racing!

The seem to meet on Lake Jordan. I'm not sure what the wind is like in the summer.

Otherwise, the town of Oriental, NC is known as the sailing capital of NC.

Thanks a million. I looked at the CSC web site but couldn't figure out who to contact. Also tried to follow up on a Wilmington Yacht Club web site with no better success. I'll try Oriental.

He loves to work the fore deck but is good at other tasks as well. He's an easy going guy who loves to race, loves to sail. Unfortunately, he lives in Austin, TX and not a lot of sailing going on there.
