We have sold our home and ready to house hunt. We are looking at New Bern for our first stop. We are in need of a realtor and of course nice developments to look at. We are retired and looking toward a established development. Please help..we are so happy to finally be able to begin this quest!

We are also retired, and looked for a long time at Fairfield Harbour, Trent Woods and River Bend in New Bern. Of course, FH has a lot of amenities in place. But you should check out the situation with the golf courses. Last we heard, they were both closing. I really liked FH, but it was too far from shopping and medical facilities. Trent Woods and River Bend both have golf nearby and waterfront sites. You should check both of these areas. I will message you with a realtor's name.

We ultimately settled on Mimosa Bay in Sneads Ferry, which is not a retirement community, but has water access and sports facilities. The selling point was reasonably priced new homes with a reasonable distance to shopping.

Happy Hunting.
