Yikes, not good news for Eastern NC Hospitals, at least not most.

The results of the new Leapfrog Group's Hospital Safety Score are out.

Vidant Edgecombe and New Hanover Regional did well (A's), not so great for Vidant Medical Center, Greenville (D). Most in the area are C's with a few B's. And several more D's.

Some of the data used to make these scores is old. Some of it is over 4 years old. In looking further I can't say that this scoring is worth the pixels it takes to display it.

Vidant Medical Center in Greenville scored perfect numbers in all but two categories in the 2014 Leapfrog hospital survey.
