If stations in either market covered state news to even a fraction of WRAL's coverage that would be true. They do not.
I agree. When I lived in Fremont in Wayne County 10 years ago and had Time Warner Cable, which carried stations from Raleigh and Greenville (except WCTI ABC ch.12), the Greenville stations were terrible when it came to state news. They're good for local news and weather, but that's about it. I figured they would've improved on state coverage by now. I don't know how good WCTI is, since I never pulled it in due to the fact that I was too far away from New Bern.
Ch. 9's problem is that 95% of their reporters are new, first or second job out of college. They stumble a lot. I sometimes wonder if they have teleprompter issues, but I think it's just inexperience
Absolutely, some are terrible. I bet they give participation trophies!
Suddenlink is not being honest about the need to absolutely drop the channel from the Greenville & Kinston systems. Tomorrow is the day. If you are unhappy about it, please contact Suddenlink and let them know.

Watched Ch. 9 news today at noon. They put up a graphic about a suspected "cereal killer" on the loose in Florida.
Tony the Tiger, Cap'n Crunch, and that Honey Smacks frog better watch their back...
