This is not correct. It's a native plant. By definition an invasive species is one that is not native and is aggressive such as Chinese wisteria. We also have a lovely American wisteria that could be a good one. Trumpet Creeper might be called aggressive, but never invasive. You can't invade the place you are from.

You did not mention whether your space is in full sun, part sun, or shade. That might make a difference on what you want to plant

Part shade. I want to keep it trimmed to 6 feet tall. Thanks for the suggestions.
