My husband is considering a job transfer that would require us to live along the coast between Myrtle beach and just north of wilmington (and as far inland as fayetteville, though I think I would prefer to be closer to the beach.) We have two young children, 2 and 4. We would probably be looking to rent, (around $1200/month) as we only plan to be in this area for the next 1-2 years and feel it is too risky to buy something with such a quick turnaround. Looking for an area that is family oriented and welcoming to new comers. I am a stay at home mom, so I would like an area with lots to do and the opportunity to meet other moms. Obviously, we will need to make a trip down to check out the area, but we will not have a lot of time to narrow down such a large area. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
