Hi all-have followed the forums for a while---love to see about life in different areas. My husband and I love the beach and are looking to possibly relocate from Western MD to somewhere closer to the shore and warmer. While our winters here have been pretty mild the past few years, I still hate being cold and dreary for months! With that said-here is what we are looking for in order of importance---try to match us up with the best fit!
Within 5-10 minute drive to a beach area. (Vacation in Surfside regularly-love that area)
Great school system (Currently have a high school Sr., 6th grader and a Kindergardener, so we have to have the whole mix right)
Want to be extremely close to outdoor activities-walking/biking trails, safe places to job, etc. Also need a great school or league soccer program for the 6th grader
Safe housing community-single family home 200-275k
Don't want to be living right in a city area, but close enough that we don't have to drive 15 minutes to get a gallon of milk.
Decent job opportunities-we both work in public sector but wouldn't object to hopping to the private side.
We had originally looked at the Myrtle Beach area exclusively, but have broadened up and down the shore because some other areas seen to be more appealing. Like the Charleston area, but would like to know more about Wilmington and nearby beaches.
