Anyone suggest a festive place to take some out of town company who have not been to Wilmington before? Thanks.

I don't know about festive, but we took the in-laws to this one:

THE PILOT HOUSE RESTAURANTS

It's on the Wilmington riverfront, and they have outdoor seating for nice days and good food.

festive as in, decked out for the holidays? or...?

Personally I'd take them to dockside out on Airlie near wrightsville, then you can go and check out the big tree out on harbor island.

That would be good, something sort of nice and Christmas-y.

We like Circa 1922. Can't speak to how festive they make it this time of year but they seem to do everything else top notch. On Front St. in downtown where you may be inclined to bring out of towners for a taste of Wilminton anyway.

Too bad they weren't down last weekend, there was the holiday flotilla which was rather fantastic to watch down at wrightsville. I'm not sure if any places are decked out for the holidays, but i'll keep and eye out. There's a parade today at 5pm downtown so there might be more festivities then...?
