My family and I are looking to move to the wilmington area and we are from Ohio. We are just sick of the weather and people. Wilmington is 15 min from the beach and has about 100,000 people. It does have a more rural area too. Also its only a 3 hour drive from the mountains. I also have a good job as a nurse here in Ohio, and contemplating if its worth re-locating.

So you are implying there are NO nursing jobs available in the Wilmington area??? very interesting
I'm not "implying" anything. Hospitals are furloughing staff and new nursing graduates don't have positions lined up. 2 senior institutions and 4 community colleges within the area have schools of nursing and graduates. Anything else? You be sweet and have a wonderful day.

Bless your heart & thanks for the info. I'll need to ask the nursing recruiter if all the jobs listed for Wilmington are phony..you never know
Let us know if you actually get hired I live here, but you apparently have a better handle on the job market. Good luck to you and the OP.
No my point is many recruiters list jobs like the link provided, that really aren't available, to get you to sign up with them...if a local is saying it's not happening it's worth checking out first hand or actually securing a position before you move anywhere not just NC
Unless retired anyone who makes a major move with out securing a job first is being foolish at the very least.
Your geography is way off, your job search info might be also.
What are you talking about???
Was that for o/p as she thought she could be in the mountains in 3 hours?
