Have you thought of turning your hobby into a profit maker? I'm sure there are other analog audiophiles looking to find the same stuff you do. I sold my turntable on ebay, a 1983 Radio Shack top model.
I got my dinnerware. Some plates were chipped, but they were pretty and I got 4 sets of a large plate, small plate, bowl and cup. Sixteen pieces for $16. When I looked them up on eBay, one plate alone goes for that.
I just purchased a "Sunday Painter" painting of Jesus standing in a valley holding a cane and a baby lamb and some other sheep nearby. It is strictly an amateur painting, but I kept my eye on it for 3 weeks and finally got it on the half price day at Goodwill. It has an innocent charm and I like the sheep; it is frameless, 8 x 10.
I flubbed it at the thrift store yesterday. I saw a Stanley plane, all rusty. It would be a good project for hubby, he can get the rust off and repair it! Nah. He looked at it, it's the kind of plane that would make grooves and parts are missing. He doesn't think there's any easy way to get those parts so I guess it goes back to the thrift store. Usually I do much better than this.
I've got the CD. That's a cool record. It has Handsome Johnny and High Flyin' Bird on it. And Morning Morning made it into the Pursuit of Happyness movie. You did good!
A package 6 of vintage Christmas ornaments - "Shiny Brite" brand and five "Sputnik" ornaments - all dating from the 50s for $5~ Very happy!
