I found this in my backyard with my metal detector.
I know this axe is not real old, but it was made in Germany and is all metal, except for the wood for the handle that is missing. It looked to be painted Green at one time.
Any history info?
I have contemplated on restoring it.

You tube video is for reference, as it is similar to mine, except where the drop forged made in Germany
is placed. Mine is on the handle base, and the one in the video is on the actual head of axe.
Not sure how old the one in the youtube video is compared to mine.
