Congratulations to Alabama! A game very well played indeed.
Notre Dame just looked lost and like they were in a complete daze throughout the entire game.
Oh well, at least ND will always have their prestigious reputation for academic excellence that very few schools can match, and that Alabama doesn't even remotely approach.
Two years ago is a long time in college football. Do you even watch football? If you do not realize that a team two years ago can be completely different then you need to watch more football.
Oregon this year is a superior machine than the 2010 year.
Yes, I realize college football teams change every year. Heck, the rapid fall of Auburn over the last 2 years is an example of that. But in this thread people keep saying Oregon was the one team that could end the SEC's reign, and that's the same thing said just 2 years ago.
"Oregon's the fastest team to ever play in the BCS Championship Game" "Auburn won't be able to keep up with Oregon's speed or game pace."
People really believed that Oregon was going to win that game and end the SEC streak. And that didn't happen.
This year's Oregon may have been able to do it, but we'll never know because they lost to Stanford. If you guys had won that game, there wouldn't have even been an SEC team playing tonight and Oregon could have rolled over ND.
And Texas... and USC... and pretty much any SEC school not named Vanderbilt or Kentucky.
You realize Vanderbilt may well be ranked in the top 25 in the final rankings this season, right?

Great game showcasing the dominant Tide but I was annoyed by how midway through the third quarter Musberger and Herbstreit start talking about Manziel and who wonderful he is and of course how he alone beat the mighty Tide. Then they went in to how next years pre season rankings would be and where all the other teams would be placed. I mean, the game isn't even over and they seemed to be trying so hard to gush over anybody else but the Alabama players currently on the field since obviously they couldnt do anymore of that. Pre season ranks were criticized when nortre dame was unranked at the beginning of the season, but now thats the topic of discussion in the middle of the game? I dont care how bad they thought the score was. And on another note, I thought Musberger was going to cry over that interference of fair catch call.
After tonight, I think there's going to be serious talk about whether non-SEC teams should be allowed to play in the national championship game. In future years, don't be surprised if a 1-loss team from the SEC overtakes an undefeated team from the Big12 or Pac12. A two-loss SEC team might even be able to do it. This is just more SEC domination. Reporters are already working on this now. Could be a reality.
