I am currently helping my girlfriend come up with a plan to pay of her student loans. I have begun doing reasearch on what is available in assistance. I know there is a federal forgivenss act (after 10 years) but I'm hoping that she has it done before then.

Does anyone know of any creative avenues we can use to pay back these loans in addition to budgetting her monthly salary?

I know there are plenty of grants, scholarships, etc. that you can apply for while you are in college but what about after you graduate?

Anyone know of a post graduation grant that we can apply for that will help pay down student loans? Is there such an organization that awards these to those who meet their requirements?

Again, I am thinking of ways to help her tackle her debt so any advice would help us tackle and get rid of this debt.

First thing you need to do is call the organization that handles the loan and find out how you can make extra payments that only go to principal. Don't just start paying more each month until you find out how it is applied. Other than what the other poster mentioned (cutting expenses), I don't know of anything else.
