As a STEM major.. I much more enjoy working than I did school. I do bring home work once if not more a week, but its far easier than what I had to deal with in college. I don't get that sick feeling in my stomach when looking at the week ahead filled with labs, exams, and problem sets. I don't really use a whole lot of what I learned in college, but I wouldn't have the job I do now without that piece of paper.
College, like life is a giant game. College for me was less about learning, and more about how to assemble information quickly and solve problems to the best of your ability, using the time allowed. That to me was the biggest thing I got from the BS degree.
I had a good time in college, and I never lived in a dorm, either. Coming from a small rural school system with a very conservative administration and staff (we never read Chaucer, Walt Whitman, Mark Twain, and numerous others because of the BOE's and principal's prejudices), college lit classes were a revelation!
I was an English major and Journalism minor. I learned so much from my professors.
