Check your local or in state universities for what they offer in the way of distance education or online programs. Many offer them and you will pay cheaper rates and get a degree from a more respected and accredited institution.

Make sure the university is accredited, or your credits may not transfer. I got my master's online through a brick-and-mortar college. I like the ones that are regular colleges with online programs. My degree looks the same.

Washington State University has a distance degree program. You'll get a degree from a fully accredited and nationally recognized state university, and the degree doesn't have any qualifiers on it that say that it is an online degree.

I have 3 masters degrees. My most recent one was done online at CTU. It was expensive. They have a B & M school but they also have a online program. The reason i mentioned the number of Masters degrees I have is to let you know the people who are saying online school is tough are telling the truth. It is very tough. It was the toughest of all of my masters programs. It requires a lot more work, concentration & self discipline that you would ever need by going to a traditional school. The good thing about it is that you can finish up assignments at 3 am in your pjs!

I'm finishing my master's from the University of Scranton. They have a goo online program, and you get that added benefit of a degree from a real brick and mortar school. The cost is high, but going to class three days a week just wasn't an option for me, so it was worth it.
I agree that the online program can be very extensive. Expect to spend about an hour a day on each course you take (I take a day during the weekend for my coursework instead.)

Check out American Military University. Ever person I've talked to about this school has raved about it. They are fully accredited and reasonably priced. And no, you don't have to be in the military to go there.

Check out the following for accredited schools in the southern district. Each district has one. North, South, East &West. They will show all the Schools accredited through them so you will know for sure. Quite a few of them have online study. I have been looking as well for a good one for Psychology.

That college is reasonably priced. Does anyone know about any other regionally accredited distance learning programs at affordable (under 350 per credit hour) prices?

As others suggested, you should absolutely go to an accredited university, preferably a reputable school that has a distance learning option. You also have to decide what you want to do with this degree. I can tell you that a BA in psychology is hard enough to do something with, much less if it is from an unaccredited or not reputable university. I'm not trying to be negative, I just don't want you to waste your time on something that won't help you in the future!!!
