NEW YORK - A New York City woman who says she can't find a job is suing the college where she earned a bachelor's degree.

Trina Thompson filed a lawsuit last week against Monroe College in Bronx Supreme Court. The 27-year-old is seeking the $70,000 she spent on tuition.

Well, I just find it crazy to believe that any college graduate would expect there to be a guarantee attached to a college education. That is absurd in this day and age. Most colleges have career placement centers, but their purpose is to provide a link between community employers and students/alumni. This lawsuit is nothing but a cry for attention. There are probably Harvard graduates without jobs in this economy. College is just an investment, and we all know that not all investments pay off in the short term.

That's because these young adults these days have a some magical golden spoon and expect it all or nothing. It's sad. Whatever happen to good'ol earn it yourself.
