I've never used either Uber or Lyft. I've been hearing great things about Uber and Lyft in other busy cities, but I'm not sure about the reliability of either services in Colorado Springs.

I'd very much appreciate if anyone with experiences with either to share your thoughts. I'm particularly worried about trying to make an arrangement for an early hour, say 4 a.m., to get to the CS Airport. Obviously, my worry is if the driver doesn't show up, I'll miss my flight! Anyone?

If you were needing it in a really small town like Scottsbluff Nebraska yea you might have a cause to worry, but the Springs is a mid size city uber drivers go 24 hours.

I was concerned because of a mixed set of reviews on Yelp, one negative review mentioning a driver not showing up!

If the driver doesn't show up within the allotted time frame the app says cancel and get another one. Also take yelp reviews with a grain of salt some one star ratings are just people with an axe to grind.

With the Uber incidents in Denver, you trust them?

Love both of them. Good way to get picked up if needed.

My husband drives for both and is kept super busy! I have also taken them without a problem around here. There are crazy people everywhere, but don't let that stop you from living!

I use Uber whenever I need a ride on a trip.

Recently, in Las Vegas, the Uber driver had an on board video recording system for both the passengers and the traffic. I think that's a good idea. It notifies the passengers to behave and it creates a record for the driver and the cops in case things happen.

If I were an Uber driver, I'd install a system like that.
