I have been here five years and it seems like the weather gets weirder every year. The windstorms in particular. The weather is variable everywhere these days but wondering if long-timers think it is fairly normal or noticeably different than in years past. I have only been here five years but contemplating a move as gardening is so challenging here and that is what I like to do in retirement.

orngkat, yeah, the winds have been strong, especially this year. We experienced 100 MPH winds at the Air Force Academy and how about those 110 MPH winds and wildfire at the Marshall Fire in Boulder Country! The climate has always been changing since the creation of Earth. The climate alarmist socialists of course want to blame humans for this and it's their way of establishing power and control over us, but the Sun is the most likely culprit. Gardening is probably the best in the Southeast US, but keep in mind, that area of the US is prone to tornadoes, hurricanes and flooding. Every area of our country has climate issues particular to their locale. I visited my USAF service buddy in his hometown of Grand Junction, CO, a few weeks ago and even though the Grand Valley is a center for fruit and vineyard cultivation, it's a desert that's been transformed into an oasis of bounty courtesy of irrigation from the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers.

Try searching google to see if you are correct about the sun and post the results back here. A hint for you.. satellite's have been measuring the sun power since just before 1980 and there is no better way to measure the sun power than directly by satellite. Another hint. the sun power has actually been decreasing.

If you cant back up what you said, maybe you are the one who has been fooled by all the marketing and lobby money spent by the fossil fuel industry to keep their profits high. Ever heard of green house gas and what has happened to the planets CO2 levels?

FYI, we have been in a La Nina pattern this winter/ spring. I am guessing here but it seems to me that La Nina years are windier - at least in parts of Colorado.. We are fortunate that the Monsoon is still kicking in and is doing good things now.

waltcolorado, you don't need to give me hints from your propaganda! I've heard them all! Don't you realize that the electricity to power EVs comes from fossil fuels?

Can we assume that you cant find any reference at all to back up what you said? Go ahead.. give it a try. If you just heard this on AM conservative radio, thats fine, just let us know.

Lmfao the talking points are so predictable. It's hilarious how a certain political faction begins to demonize the most random things out of nowhere, like suddenly electric vehicles are the enemy.

Don't you realize that the only way to power an internal combustion car is via fossil fuels? Meanwhile, even though the electricity to charge an EV can come from fossil fuels and most likely will come from fossil fuels in the present day, it can also come from renewable sources, which means it has the ability to adapt, unlike internal combustion vehicles?
