Hi,

Could you tell me (as I have not been to either of these places, I am from back east) the pros/cons to both towns and the differences between both Boise, (or nampa) Idaho, and Colorado Springs, CO.

I am debating moving to one of these two places (not as specific with the exact towns - I am flexible) but wanting to know differences - like Weather (all year round - snow if so how much, summer temps, etc.) ? Sunshine factor (more in one than the other, daily or not)? Bugs ?, Affordability ? Things to do (activities with young kids/teens), politically are they more left or right ?, taxes ?, shopping ?, culture ? People (are they rude, friendly, what is the racial makeup of these towns) ?, traffic, religion (lots of churches to pick from)?, Schools ?, any other things you can think of to mention ?

If you can offer any helpful advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Also, some of that stuff, such as demographics, can be found on the city-data main page for each city you are interested in.

If you do an advanced search in the Colorado Springs forum to find out more specific information, you will find out more than anyone can - especially since you are looking to compare C Springs with Boise...for example I did a search for "weather" and 228 specific threads popped up. I would do the same in the Idaho forums too.

It's hard to answer posts like this sometimes because the topic is generic enough, unless someone did a monster post about everything in a specific area, it's really hard to narrow down what you need. Oh and as suggested you can get statistical data on the main pages of city-data.com. Those are well maintained.
