In your opinion, what is the problem with CO's job market and what could be done to fix it?

I think Colorado's job market has the same problem as pretty much any other market right now. That is there simply isn't enough demand for employers to add any additional staff right now. I think a lot of businesses are having trouble just maintaining what they already have.

As far as what needs to be done, I think this current downturn, which I have come to refer to as the Great Depression Version 2.0, simply has to run it's course. The economy will eventually shake out, but it's gonna be a long arduous ride.

I wish I had a better answer, but I think for us regular folks, we have little choice except to hunker down and ride out the storm......

That, and the jobs that are available require skills and qualifications that few people have. For example, if you're a software engineer with a current security clearance there are many opportunities.
