My husband and I are considering moving to Carbondale from the East Coast next spring and I'm wondering how the job market is for RN's in that area? Both of us are nurses; my husband also is an EMT and was a ski instructor/patroller in Crested Butte for ~8 years before we got married (so he has options)

Also- are people fairly friendly in that area? We're both Southern and I'm used to being able to strike up conversations with random people. I know there are some areas of the country where this would make people give me funny looks but we'd like to be able to meet other couples in our age range (early 30's).

Oh, and how is the running scene around Carbondale? Are there running clubs so one is not out on a trail all alone?

Thanks

Carbondale and the surrounding areas have plenty of friendly people, that won't be a problem, lots of outdoorsy folks. It's an expensive area to live in and there are two very small hospitals in the area, Aspen and Glenwood Springs. Personally I wouldn't move to the area without a job in hand or at the very least a large nest egg.
