IMO, you'll do best to visit the ski school/slopes that have an excellent reputation for "never-evers", and Loveland has a long standing specialty in that. As well, it's close to Denver and you have many options for cozy places on the way back down the hill in Idaho Springs.

If you want to splurge and have it all in one place, then consider Vail. A bit further up the hill, but again an excellent beginner focused area and staff for your first days on the slopes ... and it's a dedicated beginner area so you're not competing with other folk on the slopes or having to take multiple rides around the facility to reach your beginner level area. With many superb after-ski options ... the hospitality industry here is stellar ... you'll readily find places to relax and enjoy after being out on the hill. At only 100 miles from Denver, it's very accessible for a drive up the hill. Of course, "never-ever" package deals for lift tickets and gear are readily available.
