Nice to hear you’re going to speed through a dangerous construction zone and then fight efforts to slow traffic to safe speeds.

Speed do not kill, it's the slow drivers that get in the way of fast drivers that cause an accident.

Opposite way around buddy. Speed limit, not speed minimum. A bunch of people with your mentality start tailgating each other then cause a shockwave of overreactions. I’m legally professionally qualified to say that’s where most traffic jams on freeways come from.

There's no winning this 'fast-slow' driver argument, so let's stop it and get back to discussing how to avoid the I-25 gap.

Thank you.

Thank you.
Entitled drivers tempering their irrational expectation that they can push traffic out of their way is probably the easiest way to avoid the headache. Taking a deep breath, leaving proper following distance, and learning that it’s physically impossible for a road to always have room for everyone to go as fast as they want is truly the only way to improve travel times and safety on I-25 or its one realistic alternative.

Tell it to the judge.

My husband drives our son up to Denver from Colorado Springs every Saturday morning for fencing practice. He says the traffic is pretty intense and they always prepare in case they are stuck in the car for hours due to an accident through this area. Not much any of us can do until the project is complete. Anyone know the timeline?

4 years is what I have heard- expect that to change and the cost to be double what was originally budgeted (since it is the CO. DOT).

Current schedule is for completion in spring of 2022 with sections finishing before that.

I drove from the Springs up to Denver yesterday morning. CO83 up to Franktown then CO86 back over to I-25. Trouble free & fast.
