Relocating to Loveland Colorado, currently living in Florida. Came from the Pacific Northwest and never once owned a 4 wheel drive, I always had a front wheel drive or a 2 wheel drive. Thanks for the info

Smile Front wheel drive

Hello we live in pueblo west but commute to Colorado springs and the san Isabel area and my front wheel drive does better than my 1 ton dually 4x4 unless it gets extreme as in up in the mountains or off road so you will do just fine with front wheel drive ,Just MY opinion

Get some snow tires for winter driving. They make a huge difference. Loveland will have way worse road conditions than Pueblo.

FWD or AWD car based drive is the way to get around on the black ice conditions in CO.

Off road 4x4 suspension is set up to deal with soft & deep stuff, not the ice.

I'd rate Loveland and Pueblo about the same for driving conditions in an average snowfall/temperature year. Pueblo has a shorter winter, but can still have the "black ice" road conditions during the season.

My 1993 Honda Accord (EX) does pretty well on the roads when I have decent tires.

They are better on gas, better in resale value than most 4x4s and easy on the insurance.

While I did get stuck during the the second blizzard (the one right before Christmas) I have been driving on front wheel drive for most of my driving years since I was 16 in the mid 80s. I have had a truck, a bigger truck and a Suburban...but for the value and upkeep, give me a front wheel drive.

I can't say that I wouldn't have appreciated having one of my trucks or the Suburban during these last weeks but for the most part, I plan ahead and go it slow.
