Jefferson County has pretty good schools if you stay south or north and reasonable rents. FT collins and loveland also have good schools but my understanding is their finacial problems are not over.

There are two really good school districts in the Denver Metro area Cherry Creek & Douglas County. Jefferson County is a close third. Jeffco is also the largest. Check out CSAP scores on the state website at

I would like more info. about Colorado Springs,I have been to your beautiful city several times before. I live in Houston,Texas right now. Since my recent divorce I am looking for a major change!! I love your area but not sure about moving somehwhere that I do not know anybody!! Its a bit daunting!! Is the area safe for single women? What about apartments rentals?
