I can't seem to find a rental in Oak Grove or Irmo that fits what I am looking for, so I've narrowed down the areas I want to live in to Rosewood/Shandon and Forest Acres. I hear people praise Rosewood Elementary a lot, but when I look it up on schooldigger.com, they receive a far lower rating than Satchel Ford up in Forest Acres. Am I missing something? Does anyone like Satchel Ford and can tell me why it's a better school than Rosewood (or vice versa)? Forest Acres seems more family oriented since it's further away from campus and the rentals are a lot more affordable. Am I wrong about that? Any other advice would be most appreciated!!
We lived in FA for almost 8 years and loved it. I say it is much more kid friendly than Rosewood-not knocking that part of town.
Satchel Ford is an excellent school with lots of parent involvement. My child loved her time there!
