DSW will open its first South Carolina store and HomeGoods will open its first Midlands store on Harbison Boulevard. You can buy two high quality pairs of shoes for the price of one at DSW. They sell men's, women's and children's shoes. HomeGoods sells home decor and furnishings. It will be their second store in SC. Greenville has one.

Here's a list of where DSW is now. It doesn't include the Charlotte store the article in The State mentions.
Are they *trying* to ruin Harbison? There is already Pier1 *and* Bed, Bath & Beyond on Harbison (plus other furnishing stores), so what is the need for an additional option? Its already crowded in that area (in terms of retail, not people) and the congestion (the people) is sickening. And you know people, even though they don't have any reason to go to another home furnishings store, they'll still flock to it like moths to a flame, adding to the existing issues around Harbison.
Why are no Greenville forum members commenting on this or Whole Foods Market coming to Columbia seeing how they love to hang out in this sub-forum and everything? Exception would be me of course.
there seems to be a lot of activity next to the new McD's that was built on that site, but I have not seen any signs yet showing what store the next building will be for

In the State, they mentioned a Firestone car care center. Could this possible be where that will be built?
