HiWire will have 20,000 square feet of trampolines. A company spokesperson says Columbia's demographics and active recreational culture make it an ideal location for a park. I think I might go bounce around a little bit.

That sounds pretty fun as an adult just figure it's more for kids though. Sandhills needs some more boost to the area anyhow.

It could be a trend. Two similar facilities were recently announced in Greenville as well. Gravitopia (27,000 square feet) and Sky Zone (18,000+ square feet).

Gravitopia's 10,000 square feet of trampolines, Sky Zone's 18,000 square feet of trampolines and HiWire's 20,000 square feet of trampolines will give South Carolinians plenty of bouncing room. Can a Harbison facility be far behind?

I read the WIS-TV article and noticed they call indoor trampoline parks a trend as well. Let's hope it survives longer than most national trends. This state needs more kids moving and less kids eating unhealthy food. If trampoline parks can effectively motivate lazy kids to be active, then South Carolina needs more of them.
