We are moving to SC in January 2017 from the UK and I've been trying to find us somewhere to live.
I've checked out a few apartments but would prefer a house to be honest...is there such a thing as furnished homes to rent in Columbia/Lexington/Chapin? Internet searches haven't been very successful, all I can find is apartments.
Needs to be a least 3-bedrooms, nice area & not really restricted on budget.
Would it be better to get the house and then rent the furniture?
Furnished houses for rent exist, but are difficult to find. You may want to talk to a local real estate agent, but keep in mind they are much more interested in selling a house than renting one. Still couldn't hurt to try.
If you're pressed for time, finding an unfurnished home and then renting furniture will be a much easier and more efficient prospect.
Coming from the U.K., I would recommend living downtown in order to have a more familiar, urban experience.
You can also Rent a House and Rent the Furniture. I have done that before in other towns. You will have to shop around via internet. Generally there are companies that can furnish the whole house with a price per room/level.
