We are new to Shaw AFB.
I would like to take the family to a pumpkin patch and possible hay ride.

Where is something close to Shaw?

Thank you

Hmm, good question. I don't recall really seeing any pumpkin patches in the immediate area. That's not to say there aren't any, as I haven't actively searched.

There's Pumpkintown up near Greenville, but that may be too far (1.5-2 hours) to drive for what you're looking to do. They also have the Pumpkintown Mountain Opry, which is just down from Table Rock State Park (if you and your family were into camping/hiking then this is something you could look into and knock both out in one weekend).

I found this site which has the following information for Sumter Co. Mapquest puts it at 15.8 miles from Sumter: Where to find pumpkin patches, Corn Mazes, Hayrides and More in South Carolina - and other useful Halloween information!
