I know there are several threads relating to places to live in Columbus but I wanted to see if there was anyone who could give me suggestions that meet my needs.

My boyfriend and I will be moving to Columbus in August/September. He'll be going to CSU and I'll be going to a cosmetology school in the same vicinity. We are looking for a cat friendly apartment or house, 1-2 bedroom, from $400-650 a month. I'm mostly looking for suggestions of areas that would be suitable for 20 yr olds and would be convenient for our commutes.

Any suggestions about moving would be nice! I'm super excited and nervous to be moving from Macon to Columbus! I think it's going to be a great experience! It's definitely bigger than any other place I have lived (my hometown is a small town in Oklahoma!!)

Are you guys looking to live near campus or are you more interested in living downtown or major retail/restaurants areas of the city?
