You will be the only one there as we canceled an afternoon green time with clients due to rain forecast.

I have played at Green Island and the course is horrible.
I can see why they quit having the southern open there as it is mainly for the cheapskates who cannot afford to play and pay at a good course.
The clubhouse is about to fall apart and the food is awful too.

Welcome to Columbus! Check out the northside of the city. Midland is a nice area with great schools. How much are you looking to spend on a house? North Columbus is where all of the major shopping areas, schools, and nice neighborhoods are located.

I'm also trying to find a good neighborhood in North Columbus. We're a young family with a baby on the way. From info that I've gathered, it seems like Green Island and Maple Ridge are two great places to live. Are there any others with a swim and tennis community? We're used to that here in Atlanta. Someone also mentioned moving to Harris County??? What's that all about???

Green Island and Maple Ridge are very expensive. Both are really nice and in excellent locations. For a swim/tennis community, check out Coca Lake in Harris County. HC has boomed because taxes are lower and you have a 2-acre minimum lot size. Overall, Maple Ridge would be my pick.

Google "loft condominiums in columbs ga" and find units at the Eagle and Phenix Mill--1201 Front Avenue, on the river in "Uptown" Columbus in the heart of everything. Great location and there are some larger units with balconies that overlook the river--fabulous!!
