Hello All,
I am new to this site, so forgive any ignorance.

Anyway, I had my son 9 months ago, and I had started losing weight after the pregnancy by trying to eat healthier and exercise. 2 months after giving birth, I started using an IUD Birth control, and it caused me to gain 40 lbs in 3 months! I didn't even gain that much weight for the pregnancy! I'm a chubby girl anyway, and before the pregnancy I started off at 160, now I am 198 lbs. It's horrifying. I have changed my eating habits, which that started before the pregnancy, and I work out when I can-which it does fluxcuate, when I have time I work out between 2-4 times a week, but I play with my VERY active little boy on top of that, and I have yet to shed a single pound! I've never been this big in my life, and I'm only 5'4 so I'm way over where I should be. Does anyone have any advice? I've heard phentermine and adipex do wonders, but my ob states they can't prescribe it because they can't follow up on it, and I don't know what doctors I can go to around here to get the pills-I still need to find a family doc. I've heard of sites online, but every thread I've come across that promotes certain sites seems to have 2 or more other threads stating those sites are fake. Can anyone help me? Please? I'm desperate, this is really making me depressed.Any and all help is appreciated.

Well, I'm in Ohio and the weather sucks, so I can't really hike, but if it's a decent day I put the baby in the stroller and drive to where it's safe to walk during the day-I don't live in the best of areas. I am a single mother that works a lot, so when I can find a sitter I workout, and being a single mom I don't get a crazy social life right now. I'm not trying to make excuses, I try to use what time I can to work out and I've been currently using these workout tapes which involve working out with your baby, so I'm trying to be creative and do what I can. It's still been a few months of consistently changing my eating habits and working out when I can, and nothing is working. Any other ideas?

Have you seen what they weather has been like in about 85% of the rest of the country? We have been lucky here in Ohio. The rest of the country's weather has sucked. Just saying, because I was tied up in the eastern snow storm when I went back home to Philly.

No, you're right, the weather hasn't been too crazy this winter...yet, haha. I stay outside on my lunch breaks. Maybe it will stay mild for once? Ohio has screwy weather, so who knows.

That snowstorm was horrible! I work for an insurance company, and we were flooded with claims from PA, everyone in that part of the state seemed to be stuck in the snow.

Good gawd, not you AGAIN

Phentermine

No doctor is going to perscribe that to you, give it up

Exercizing will solve all the ills you claim.

(ok, I'll try being nice ONCE)

Have your doctor check your blood sugar and thyroid levels while you are there.

If this trully is a change from what is normal, these may indicate the culprit
