The icon for My Compute on my desktop does not have the words under it that say "My Computer" anymore (like it used to have).
It now has a couple of rows of dashes.

Also when I click and open the other icons (even CCleaner) on my desktop they open up to show all my Drive Icons, files etc (just like when "my computer' icon is opened).

I rebooted in Safe Mode and did a complete scan with MSE but nothing was found.

I do not have that particular computer connected to the internet because I only use it for some of the programs I have installed, such as Adobe PhotoDeluxe, .. so I don't see how I could have picked up a virus or malware.

Has anyone heard of this happening?

Single click on the row of dashes. Pause briefly. Single click again. Type in whatever you want.

That worked !

I actually tried to do that last night before I did reboot in Safe Mode and when I did, it just made another row of dashes and another row for about 4 rows.
What got me concerned was the fact that when I clicked on the other icons such as CCleaner and evern MSE,.. all it did was open to My Computer. I could not even get MSE to open so I could do a Scan.

In Safe Mode, I was able to do the Scan with MSE.

After I renamed it just a few minutes ago, now all the other icons open up as normal again. So I don't know what to think.
That is really strange.

More so to some for some reason.
