A very good deal for 3 licenses, considering a single license costs $79.99 at other reputable vendors including Amazon. This "upgrade kit" can also be used to perform a fully clean install (instructions here).
Each package contains two disks: one with the 32-bit edition and one with the 64-bit edition of Windows 7.

I just ordered it, so we'll see what happens. It does seem to say it includes both 32 and 64, and I do recall reading that it did somewhere else when considering buying this before.
It includes both the 32 and 64, and you use what you want/need. Various merchant sites say that it's both versions, and at least 10 reviews that I read say that it includes both disks.
But if you are going from 32 bit up to 64 bit, you'll have to back up your data first and then do a complete fresh install that will wipe your hard disk. There is plenty of how-to-upgrade info on the 'Net. Just look.
IIRC, the Family Pack was offered for a limited time when Win7 was new, and most merchants sold out, but evidently MS has dumped the last of what they had in stock, so a few retailers still have them.
There was a 3-computer Office 2007 offered around the same time in 2009. I did buy that one but not the Win 7 pack.

The Windows Family pack will include one (1) 32-bit and one (1) 64-bit DVD. Once you perform an upgrade, you should create a System Image and store it in a safe place or take it with you when traveling. Please see: How to Create a System Image Backup in Windows 7 and How to Do a System Image Recovery in Windows 7.
Possibly a way to keep your WinXP apps going, without having to upgrade to Win7 Pro (I don't know. If you need it, then you research it further.):
As I mentioned last time, Vista users can just pop in the disc for an in-place upgrade, but XP systems require extra measures: there's no direct upgrade path from XP to 7.
Fortunately, there are ways around that. A utility like Laplink PC Mover Upgrade Assistant, for instance, makes in-place upgrades from XP to 7 fairly painless. It normally sells for $29.99, but Amazon has it for $19.99.
If you're a little more tech-savvy, try the new Prowess SmartMigrate utility, which turns your entire existing XP installation into a virtual operating system you can run inside Windows 7. It's free for personal use.
I also ordered one of those sale Family Packs. Too good of a deal to pass up. I'll report back if I don't get both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions.

You should have 1 product key located inside the Windows 7 Home Premium Family Pack Upgrade hard shell plastic. This key permits you to upgrade 3 computers running either Windows XP or Windows Vista to Windows 7 Home Premium.

Me too. This is the first post from one of my updated computers! Clean installed over XP home on a Inspiron e1705 that is 6 years old. It works very well. I have to use Vista drivers though.
