So I'm backing up my outlook stuff, and I copied the emails from my inbox to a folder by dragging and dropping. Now when I try to delete an email from my inbox, I get the following error: "You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation."

I can still delete emails from other folders that I didn't copy (like sent emails). I'm hoping it actually copied the emails and didn't move the files and change some pointers or whatever.

Any ideas how to fix this?

I'll check it out and see if it works.

I don't know much of anything about Outlook or .pst files. I only have Outlook wired to an email that I only use occasionally, so it wasn't much of a hassle. Drag and drop is what I used with Outlook Express back in 2002 or whenever, so that's what I knew of how to backup Outlook stuff.

PST file, you have just one. It contains all of your email, contacts, and calendar, just back up that single file and you back up everything. How to locate, move, or back up your personal folders (.pst) file in Outlook
