Listening to the Windows 10 announcement. Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for computers running Windows 7 and 8. Wow, this is big news and I like this move.

Free for windows 7 if you do it in the first year, free always for windows 8.

Good job Microsoft. Following in the footsteps of Apple.

Has there been any news on what happens with Windows Media Center when you upgrade to Windows 10?

I know that people on Windows 8 and 8.1 had to buy WMC if they wanted it. On the other hand, I'm using Windows 7 and WMC was free.

That's interesting and seems like a very "un-Microsoft" move to make.

Considering how much Windows 8 sucks, good move. An attempt to save some face. Let's hope 10 is much much better than 8.

I'm liking Microsoft more each day. Free upgrade for my Windows Phone & my laptop. I actually really like Windows 8, so I hope they don't change it up too much.

I bought a Windows 7 a few months ago, to avoid 8. I find myself wondering why anybody would want to "upgrade" from 7 to anything that Windows has dreamed up since then.

Windows 10 looks OK to me.

The next generation of Windows: Windows 10

One might suspect that Microsoft listened to users and eliminated the parts of Windows 8 that were most despised.
