I just Monster -ed "Microprocesser Engineer" on Monster and ZERO Matches! You know, I think most all of our computer stuff, gadgets, and peripherals are designed by Asians in Asia [?]... Around Chicago, I have noticed many mfg firms, but I have hardly noticed computer stuff made in America ever since US Robotics closed down in a suburb of Northern Chicago...

Do you know where they design most of that "computer stuff?"

Like, isn't the only US mfg of motherboards Supermicro?

they are designed in texas [intel, ti, dell], boston [dec], california [amd].
they are fabricated here as well as by farber-parnell, foxconn, ... in china.

i think it depends on the company. for e.g., i know that xbox-360 motherboards are designed by i.b.m. (u.s.a.) but i think the u.s. ones are fabricated in a facility in mexico. i assume the eurasion ones are made in china.
i believe they have nvidia (u.s.a.) graphic adapters probably electro-mechanical assembly in china.
