How would I access the games on Apple II gs floppy disks?

Many disks have a menu like this:

*A 074 Ms. Pacman
B 128 Flight Simulator X 2.3

When I do research, all I find is games like this already ported onto a different medium.

Also, how would I fix an Apple joystick?

Thank you.

There's a way to re-adjust the balance on the joystick by turning these mini-knobs to the proper numbers without opening up the joystick itself. I don't remember how to do this.

I sincerely doubt you can play those games on any modern hardware.

I kind if like watching his videos to bring back some old memories.

This one amazed me.

As for the original Apple IIgs games, you will need a working Apple IIgs. No way around that one.

I do remember about 10 or 15 years back throwing away hundreds (not exaggerating) floppy discs, both 5.25 and 3.5" dating back to the early to mid 80's. Many of them were copies, I was into that for a number of years. Just tossed them in the city supplied trash bin. I was tired of carting them around and never got to using them.

Thank you for the video.

Wow, what an interesting life to have.

Seems like a nice guy who is really busy.
We all know computer nerds can tend to lack social skills though too, lol :/
I sended him an email anyway since I've had such a hard time with this myself. Worst answer I can receive is "no".

This should get you started, it's the original owner's guide.

You can google for more, I'm sure you can find what you need including parts for it, probably on ebay.

My very first home computer (I was still in high school) was an Atari 800. I fiddled with others including a TRS-80. Never had an Apple though.

After that, I got into IBM PCs and everything that went with that. That's more or less where I stayed.

I think I have that manual. I do have a bunch of manuals that I did attempt to look through already. I can try again, but my gut is that what I need either is not quite there or not there at all. As close as I could come is a chapter in one of the manual on Basic. I had to learn Q-Basic a long time ago. I use VBA now. So, given/finding the right thing(s), I could access the games. But it feels a bit like navigating a different world.

I enjoy watching his videos. If you look around his setup you will see plenty of modern hardware, too.

Stephen Hackett who runs the 512 Pixels blog has a collection of all things Apple. He strikes me as one of the nicer folks in the Apple world.
