The combination of Malwarebytes and Windows Defender cannot be beat for protecting a PC. I recommend it to all my clients.


Another option is Emsisoft Home. I have been running that for the last year on my personal PC.

Had an odd experience with MB. Ran the free scan, no objects. But it disabled my Ad-block, which I had to completely uninstall and re-install. No biggie, but made me suspicious.
