This search engine is different because it claims it doesn't collect data based on what you search for.

Apart from that, there are supposed to be features about searching, like Instant Answers so you don't have to click on any links. But all I see is a Wikipedia link along with the usual matches.

BTW, in Google, if you typed the name of an episode of a TV show, it would also display the previous and next episodes. It stopped doing that a few months ago.

I use both. Google not only tracks you, but also manipulates search results for what they deem "misinformation".

For what most of us deem "misinformation".

Try both with the search term "ivermectin as covid cure".
Which is something I would never search for.

I used DuckDuckGO for a year and then went back to Google. I do use an adblocker so I see no ads on Google.

Just search on Google for strange things every once in a while to throw off their tracking validity.

"How to use whale sperm for fun and profit"

"What color is the underside of a turtle dead for three weeks?"

Big Tech's definition of misinformation is an opinion they don't like. There's nothing factual or scientific about the things they censor or the bias in their search results.

Had Google existed during the 17th century, they would have censored heliocentrism as misinformation.

Those examples are very similar to my normal searches!

What do you suggest I use as "strange things"?

I use DuckDuckGoogle.
